RULES FOR GRANTING HONORARY PATRONAGE OR PARTICIPATION

OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE STATISTICAL OFFICE IN WROCŁAW

IN AN HONORARY COMMITTEE


I. General Provisions

These rules define the requirements and procedure for granting honorary patronage or participation in an honorary committee (hereinafter referred to as “patronage”) by the Director of the Statistical Office in Wrocław (hereinafter referred to as “the Director”).


II. Detailed Provisions

The Director grants patronage as a form of special recognition for initiatives related thematically to the mission and scope of tasks carried out by official statistics, characterized by a high substantive and organizational standard.

Patronage may be granted only to initiatives of regional, national, or international scope.

The Director does not grant patronage to commercial initiatives.

In the case of recurring events, a separate application must be submitted for each edition.

Granting patronage does not imply any commitment to provide financial or organizational support.

Information about the granted patronage is published in the “List of honorary patronages and membership in honorary committees granted by the Director of the Statistical Office in Wrocław” on the Office’s website (https://wroclaw.stat.gov.pl/) and in the Public Information Bulletin.

In case patronage is granted, the organizer is required to:

  1. inform co-organizers and participants about the honorary distinction;
  2. include this information in all promotional and informational materials.

III. Procedure for Granting Patronage

An application for patronage must be submitted by the organizer no later than 60 days before the start of the event.

The application form is available on the website of the Statistical Office in Wrocław.

The application must include the event programme and regulations. If necessary, the Lower Silesian Centre for Regional Surveys may request additional information.

The decision on granting or refusing patronage is communicated to the organizer in writing within 30 days from the date of submission.

No appeal may be made against a refusal decision.

In justified cases, the Director may revoke a previously granted patronage or resign from participation in an honorary committee. The organizer is informed of such a decision in writing.
