Architectural Accessibility

Building: Statistical Office in Wrocław, ul. Oławska 31, 50-950 Wrocław

  1. The Office building is located in the city centre and is easily accessible by public transport. There is one main entrance to the building from ul. Oławska. The entrance to the building is at pavement level. The pavement has no kerbs and is paved with stone slabs and cobblestones.
  2. On the ground floor of the building, by the entrance on the left-hand side, there is a reception desk. An information board is available on the wall on the right-hand side of the hall. Customer service — REGON register and Information Centre — is provided on the ground floor. Toilets for persons with disabilities are located on the ground floor and on the second floor.
  3. The building is largely adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. The building has 7 floors. All floors of the building are accessible to wheelchair users. Two lifts are available to customers, including one adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities and equipped with sliding doors. The building has no thresholds and is equipped with sufficiently wide doors leading to individual floors of the Office, which enables wheelchair users to move around freely. Entrance doors to floors 1–6 are secured with access codes. The need to enter these floors must be reported to the receptionist.
  4. Assistance dogs and guide dogs may enter the building and all areas accessible to customers. The building is not equipped with induction loops or Braille markings, except for the lifts, where such markings are provided on the call and control panels inside the cabins.
  5. The steps in the building have been marked with warning tape — on the first and last step of each flight of stairs. However, there are no large-print markings for visually impaired persons.
  6. A magnifying glass is available in the Office for visually impaired persons, in the REGON register/customer service room no. 52.
  7. The Office does not have a designated parking space for persons with disabilities.

Building: Statistical Office in Wrocław, Branch in Jelenia Góra, ul. 1 Maja 1, 58-500 Jelenia Góra

  1. The entrance to the building is located from ul. Jelenia. Stairs lead to the entrance — 3 steps with a handrail; there is no ramp for persons with disabilities. In order to enable persons with disabilities to use the services offered by the Branch, a call bell has been installed at the entrance to the building. It is marked with a sign compliant with applicable standards and makes it possible to call a person who will help enter the building.
  2. Information boards are located in the corridor by the entrance to the building. Customer service — REGON register and Information Centre — is provided on the ground floor of the building.
  3. The building has 5 floors. The upper floors are accessible by staircase. In the corridors, by the stairs, there are markings indicating individual floors. Anti-slip strips are installed on the stairs on all floors. The facility does not have a lift. The building has one toilet partially adapted to persons with special needs. The toilet is located on the second floor. The toilets are equipped with an optical and acoustic alarm in the event of fire or another emergency.
  4. Assistance dogs and guide dogs may enter the building. The building is not equipped with an induction loop and has no Braille markings. There are no contrast markings or large-print markings for visually impaired persons. A magnifying glass is available for visually impaired persons at the customer service point. There is a small car park in front of the building with 3 spaces. There is no marked parking space for persons with disabilities, but a person with a disability may use a parking space intended for an official vehicle.

Building: Statistical Office in Wrocław, Branch in Legnica, ul. Jaworzyńska 65, 59-220 Legnica

  1. The entrance to the Branch is located from ul. Jaworzyńska, at pavement level. The reception desk and information boards are located in the hall. Customer service — REGON register and Information Centre — is provided on the lower ground floor of the building. The need to enter specific rooms of the Branch in order to deal with a matter should be reported at the reception desk.
  2. The building in which the Branch is located has 5 floors. The Branch premises are located on the lower ground floor and on the raised ground floor. The lower ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users. The building is not equipped with a lift enabling persons with disabilities to move between floors. Toilets on the raised ground floor are not adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities. On the lower ground floor, there is a toilet adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities.
  3. Assistance dogs and guide dogs may enter the Branch premises. The Branch does not have induction loops or Braille markings. The building has no contrast markings or large-print markings for visually impaired persons. A magnifying glass is available for visually impaired persons at the customer service point. The Office has one parking space for persons with disabilities.

Building: Statistical Office in Wrocław, Branch in Wałbrzych, ul. Adama Mickiewicza 14, 58-300 Wałbrzych

  1. There are two entrances to the building. The main entrance is at pavement level from ul. Adama Mickiewicza. On the car park side, there is a side entrance with stairs and a ramp for persons with disabilities.
  2. The reception desk and information boards are located on the ground floor, in the building hall. The ground floor is accessible to wheelchair users, and customer service — REGON register — is provided there.
  3. On the ground floor, there is a toilet adapted to persons with disabilities. The toilet is equipped with an optical and acoustic alarm in the event of fire or another emergency.
  4. The building has 3 floors. The upper floors are accessible by staircase. There is no lift in the building.
  5. Assistance dogs and guide dogs may enter the building and all its rooms. The building does not have induction loops or Braille markings. There are no contrast markings or large-print markings for visually impaired persons. A magnifying glass is available for visually impaired persons at the customer service point. In the car park by the Office, in the immediate vicinity of the ramp for persons with disabilities, one parking space has been designated for persons with special needs.

Communication and Information Accessibility

  1. At the Office and at each Branch, it is possible to use the assistance of a sign language interpreter. The intention to use such assistance should be reported to the Office no later than 3 working days before the planned date of dealing with the matter.

  3. The Office will provide service to a person with a disability on the date indicated by that person, and if this is not possible, it will set another possible date. The assistance of an interpreter is free of charge only for an entitled person who is a person with a disability within the meaning of the Act of 27 August 1997 on Vocational and Social Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities.
  4. At the Office and at each Branch, it is possible to use the assistance of an assistant when dealing with matters. The role of assistant to persons with special needs is performed by:
  • Wrocław: Magdalena Rogalska, Marcin Sak, Marta Woźniakiewicz, Agata Girul — Accessibility Coordinator;
  • Legnica: Iwona Serwatka, Adrian Przysłopski;
